RUDY T. DRAGO Feb. 17, 1936 - March 15, 2009
Born in Long Island, New York from Italian immigrant parents, the youngest of four children. Was a resident of Granada Hills for 25 years and enjoyed retirement in Lake Havasu, Arizona. Married to Ann Drago for 54 years. Survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Denise Seth-Hunter ( Drago ) and husband Peter; sons Richard Drago , and Robert Drago and wife Gina; grandsons, Gregory Seth-Hunter and wife Alicia, Michael Seth-Hunter and wife Danielle, Rudy Drago , and Joseph Drago ; and great grandchildren, Thomas Seth-Hunter and Ryan Seth-Hunter.
Rudy moved to Burbank at the age of 14 from New York. He attended Burbank High School where he met his wife. He wa s a carpet installer for 40 years. Rudy was an avid motorcycle racer in his younger days. He enjoyed boating, waterskiing and his at least yearly trips to "the river". Rudy was a founding member of "The Drifters of Burbank" in the 1950's, and a member of the "Road Kings of Burbank" where he would enter and show his 1932 three window Red Ford Coupe and his 1947 Ford convertible which he would tinker on at every opportunity. He won trophies for some of the shows he entered.
Our hearts are heavy with sorrow as he will be dearly missed by all of his family and many friends but he is no longer in pain or suffering and for that we are truly grateful. Thank you to Dr. Khalil, Dr. Ghanem, Dr. Zia and their staff for there loving care to our little Italian firecracker. We will miss you but will see you again, save a place for us.
