Emmett J. Gagnon, BHS 1958
Emmett J. Gagnon passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at his home.
Emmett was born January 2, 1941 in New York and had moved to Southern California with his family when he was just a young child. Later as an adult he moved to Simi Valley where he lived and raised his family. He had been a 30-year resident and just recently moved to Corona, California.
Emmett loved his grandkids; they were "hands down" his greatest joy. He enjoyed and was very dedicated to his work and loved to fish and swing his golf clubs. You could say he got his money's worth on the green swinging twice as many times as everyone else.
He is survived by his loving family and friends including his daughters Monique Johnson of Sacramento and Keri Atwood of Simi Valley; son Aaron Gagnon of Portland, Oregon; four granddaughrers Alyssa (8) McKenna (6) Olivia (6) and Macie (3); and four grandsons Ryan (11) Scott (9) Jacob (2) and Joshua (11 months).
Emmett was a wonderful father and grandfather and friend. Everyone will miss his smile and contagious laughter.
A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 1 p.m. Saturday August 9, 2003 at the United Methodist Church in Simi Valley. A committal service will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth, California.
Assisting the family with funeral arrangements is the Rose Family Funeral Home.
