Long-time Burbank resident Betty Ann Florka, passed away with her family by her side on October 27, 2010. Born on March 22, 1941 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, she graduated from Burbank High School in 1959 and was a teacher at Horace Mann Children's Center for 15 years.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ralph Florka, three daughters, a son and seven grandchildren.
A gathering to honor her memory on Sunday, November 14, 2010, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, will be held at home of Jayna and Ed Mejia, 638 North Reese Place, Burbank. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Horace Mann Children's Center in Betty Florka's name.
