Elinor H. Goodman Guenther, BHS 1951September 16, 1933 - January 6, 2012
Born in Los Angeles, Mom grew up in Burbank, graduating from Burbank High School in 1951. She worked at Lockheed until 1958, when she married Wrynn Guenther, and became a homemaker, and the mother of 4 children.
In 1971, Mom went back to school, and for over 30 years, she worked as a CNA at Valley Presbyterian Hospital. She retired at the age 67, and she moved to Vancouver, Washington in 2006 to be with her daughter and son.
Mom enjoyed reading, movies, music, singing, gardening, socializing, and playing games.
She is survived by her four children, Glenna (John) Dersch, sons Patrick (Barbara) Guenther, Vance Guenther, and David (Sylvia) Guenther, eight grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and friends. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Manny and Marion Goodman, and brother, D.A.A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date in California.
