John R. Hoist, funeral services for John Russell Hoist, 64, employee of the Los Angeles Board of Education for 42 years as a counselor in high schools, who died Friday in Queen of Angels Hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Sacred Memories, L. G. Scovern & Son, Glendale. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial-Park. Mr. Hoist lived at 1802 Melwood Drive, Glendale. He leaves his widow Martha; a son William Edward, and two grandchildren. An accomplished organist, he played in many Los Angeles and Pasadena churches.

Funeral services Tuesday, July 22, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Sacred Memories, L.G. Scovern and Son, 828 South Brand Boulevard, Glendale.
