Marcia Willis Young, BHS 1941
March 1, 1923 - October 9, 2020
From the Senior Bulldogs Newsletter - Our most senior Sr. Bulldog passed away this year. Her family moved to Burbank in 1937 from Indiana, and Marcia lived in that house until her marriage to Ronald Dinsmoor in 1941. They had a daughter, Diane. Ronald died in boot camp during the war and is listed on the City of Burbank War Memorial.
In 1946, she married James Young, and son Phillip was born. Marcia worked in their optical business for two decades, and she was active at First Christian Church of Burbank. She loved sewing, crocheting, crafts, reading, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Marcia is survived by her daughter Diane Engelbrite, daughter-in-law, Terry Young, and their children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Phil Young and her son Phil Young, Jr. Marcia was a very sweet lady and will be missed by all of us.
