Robert F. Kimble, III, BHS 1960
San Luis Obispo, California – Robert Kimble passed away in San Luis Obispo on January 21, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born in Burbank, California to Robert and Myrtell Kimble, and graduated from Burbank High School in 1960. He attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where he studied Printing, and served as an offset pressman in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. Bob worked as a Theatre Technician at Cal Poly for many years until his retirement. He was a projectionist in local theatres, enjoyed Native Sons of the Golden West, and was a member of Caballeros de San Luis Obispo and the American Legion.
Bob met his wife Mary in 1975. They enjoyed water skiing, Steam trains and their history, photography, estate sales, and traveling to Printers Faires. “Lovey” was a kind and thoughtful partner, as well as an amazing father to their three children; Elizabeth Ann, Brian, and Evan.
Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary, and his sons Brian (JoLin) and Evan (Kory). He cherished his granddaughter, Adelin Jo. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myrtell, his infant daughter Elizabeth Ann, and his brother John.
Please remember Bob with a smile on his face, a mischievous twinkle in his eye, and a toothpick in the corner of his mouth.
