Dr. George Eli Deeb was born on July 20, 1945 in Louisville, Kentucky to Eli and Rose (Ghattas) Deeb.  After a brief illness, he passed peacefully in Tucson on April 3, 2020, at the age of 74.

George was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and community role model. He is survived by his wife Diane, his children George Richard (Janina), Andrew, John (Tara), stepson Ryan, and six grandchildren.  He also leaves behind his sisters Alice Andrews, Milly Kayyem, Rose Ann Casagrande, Janice Davis, and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Edward Deeb, Carrie Skaff, Libby Jacob and Georgette Hapip.

George grew up in California and was the second youngest of 9 children and one of only two sons.  He worked for his brother Edward, a time during which he learned valuable skills including how to fix anything.  He received his B.A. from U.C.L.A., his D.D.S. from Loyola University School of Dentistry-Chicago College of Dental Surgery and his Periodontal certificate from Loma Linda University.  He practiced dentistry in Tucson for over 45 years and was considered an expert in periodontal and dental implant surgery.

He was a past member of the Pima Dental Study Club and an instructor at Pima Community College. He was an entrepreneur, divorce recovery coach and beloved friend to all who knew him. He will be fondly remembered for his incredible wealth of knowledge, his heartfelt laugh, his loving nature, his love of serving elite BBQ (ribs), and his signature jean shorts and grey T-shirts (with pocket).

Due to the current Coronavirus situation, services have been postponed until further notice (July?).

George was known for his willingness to help those around him. In lieu of flowers or donations, please help someone in need.
