George was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to California with his family about two years after his father died at the age of 52 in July 1928. He settled in Burbank and attended Burbank High School. At age 18 he got a job at the Post Office and was there for 42 years. George passed away on January 29, 2006 in Burbank, California.
He was a life member of the Burbank Elks Club 1497. He held down three jobs at one point to support his family. He worked at the Post Office during the day and then went to work in the afternoon for a Photo Lab delivering and picking up film. On Saturday afternoon for about 2 to 3 hours and then Sunday for about the same time he worked for the LA Herald - Examiner Newspaper. He loved his wife and family. He was married to his wife Marjorie for 62 years.
