Delois June Henthorn Jackson 1940 ~ 2009
Delois June Henthorn Jackson passed away peacefully March 19, 2009 at her home in Sandy. Delois was born August 20, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Frederick Miles Henthorn and Shirley Joann Ward. She married Larry Tomas Jackson on July 26, 1958, in Sylmar, California. She graduated from Burbank High School in Burbank, California.
Mom had an incredibly strong spirit having overcome many challenges in her life including polio and breast cancer. She was fiercely loyal and deeply loved her family both immediate and extended. She was a great optimist and loved to root for the underdog. She was quite the woman with a wonderful and quirky sense of humor. Most of all, mom was fun. "We love you mom and will miss you so much!"
She is survived by her husband, Larry; children: Leslie Diane (Charlie) Smith, Russell Jay (Miranda) Jackson, and Steven Bradley (Christie) Jackson, and 9 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery/Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So, where friends and family may call Tuesday 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
