Burbank motorcyclist killed in freeway accident
Los Angeles – a 34-year-old Burbank resident was killed after losing control of his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and getting run over by a tractor-trailer on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Arleta, authorities said.
Troy Moffett was crushed to death by the left rear wheels of a tanker truck Sunday afternoon on the northbound side of the freeway at Osborne Street, said California Highway Patrol Officer Gretchen Jacobs. He was riding between lanes to pass the truck when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell.
He was pronounced dead at 5:02 p.m. at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. The driver of the truck was not cited.

Troy E. Moffett, 34, died April 12, 1998. Mr. Moffett was born in Iowa. He was a longtime Burbank resident. He was employed as an electrician by Andy Klein Electric. He is survived by his parents, Gene and Karen, and brother, Tony.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 21 at the Valley Funeral Home. The Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
