Patricia Schelden, age 76, died peacefully under hospice care at home in Seal Beach, CA on February 23rd after a battle with cancer. Her partner Larry Snider was by her side. She is also survived by her sister Bonnie, two sons Greg & Brad, two grandchildren Bryce & Davis and cat Patches.
Patricia was born in Burbank California in 1946 and graduated from Burbank High School in 1964. After graduating from Glendale College, she worked at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the late 60s where she met her husband Bruce, the father of her two sons. She settled in Long Beach in the early 70s to raise her children and worked at CSULB until retirement. She spent the last 30 years of her life in Seal Beach, CA. Patricia was an avid golfer, reader and film lover. She also loved her frequent trips to Palm Springs, her daily walks and spending time with her extended family.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A private family ceremony will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Long Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Meals on Wheels or The American Cancer Society.
