TWO KILLED IN MISHAPS ON SLIPPERY STREETS
Two persons were dead and a third seriously injured in traffic accidents on Los Angeles’ slippery streets yesterday, police said.
Thrown from a skidding automobile, Ira Lee Spencer, 22, of side Drive of Glendale, police said, Spencer, former Army pilot, was riding with William James Claxton, of 2836 Pariso Way, La Crescenta, and was hurled headlong into the curbing when the car skidded in attempting to avoid a collision with another machine. Claxton was not held.
