Augostino Licursi, BHS 1941

Augostino Licursi, BHS 1941------------- Augostino Licursi, passed away on November 29, 2014, just one week short of his 92nd birthday. Augie served in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS Smalley, DD 565 Destroyer. He and his wife Marian, raised their family in Burbank and would have celebrated their 69th wedding ammiversary in February 2015. Augie was an electrical engineer and spent his career designing and consulting on security systems for large organizations, such as CBS. Augie's three children, Sam Licursi (BHS 64), Pam Licursi Clemons (BHS 66), and Debby Licursi Steelman (BHS 72) all grew up attending Burbank schools. Augie's family and Italian heritage were an important part of his life and he cherished the close bond he had with his family. In addition to his wife and three children, Augie is survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was a kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to tell a good story. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
