August 4, 1941 - January 19, 2024
Chris Stone, 82, of Santa Maria, California passed away on January 19, 2024. Chris was born in Burbank on August 4th, 1941, to Harry and Cora Stone. His father worked at Lockheed, and he and his wife raised Chris in Burbank where he attended local schools. In October of 1960, he met his wife Glenda Marie Stone and have been together since their first date. After a short time in Seattle, in 1969, they moved to Denver, Colorado, where their first son John was born. In 1970, their path would lead to Santa Maria, California, where their daughter Tammy was born. Chris was now a Real Estate Broker and had found his calling.
Chris loved to travel. He cruised 5 of the 7 seas, and walked 6 of 7 continents. He walked the Great Wall of China, went to Bethlehem, and saw the Great Pyramids of Egypt. He loved his history, sports, and Dodger baseball, but his biggest love was the love of his family, spending time with his children, and especially his grandchildren. His sense of humor was legendary, and many knew him as “Super Chris”.
Chris is survived by his wife Glenda Stone of Santa Maria, His son and daughter in law John and Linda Stone of San Diego, daughter Tammy Fulton and her husband Clint, of Santa Maria, and four grandchildren: Derek, Dylan, Troy, and Lauren all of Santa Maria.
A funeral service for Chris will be held on Monday, January 29th at 11:00 am at the Santa Maria Cemetery with Pastor Eric Scott officiating.
