Julie Ann Fear-Oliver, BHS 1967
February 7, 1949-- February 3, 2023
Julie passed away from a sudden illness in Reno, Nevada at the age of 73.
Julie was raised in Burbank, CA and attended school there until she moved to Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii, where she graduated from high school in 1967. She attended college in Southern California, completed her Bachelors degree at the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
Julie worked in many fields, banking, marketing, sales. Her last employer was the State of Nevada, Department of Education and retired in 2016.
After her retirement she developed a passion for music, she loved to play the conga drums and tambourine, sitting in and singing back-up at various venues in Carson City and Virginia City. Life was a party and she wanted to be part of it.
Julie had a host of hobbies besides her music, she loved art, stained glass, and cooking. She was a devout Christian, she enjoyed her bible study group and spreading the word of Christ to everyone she met.
A private family service will be held in her honor at a later date to share the memories of her life and the fun times we all had with her.
She is survived by her daughter Heidi Hauk and granddaughter Carina Hernandez both of Long Beach, CA. Brothers Jerrold Powers (Mokihana) Honolulu, Hawaii, Jeffry Fear (Donna) Kailua Kona, Hawaii, Sister Janice Mason (Jeff) Kamuela, Hawaii. Life partner, Rick Oliver and his children Kevin Oliver and Rebecca Martinez (Ricky) grandsons; Ricky Jr., Noah and Benny of Sparks, NV.
If we can take anything away from Julie's life it would be to keep an open mind about others and their daily personal struggles. Be kind.
