Joni Dixon Jones, 76
ESCONDIDO - Joni Jones, 76, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, of pancreatic cancer.
Born Dec. 9, 1928, in Los Angeles, she lived in Escondido for 45 years. She graduated from Burbank High School and was a member of the Church of God in Oceanside. She was a tennis and sports lover and an avid reader.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 57 years, Daniel Jones of Escondido; son and partner Daniel P. Jones and Ty Taylor of Santa Rosa; and brother Richard Dixon of Thailand.A memorial service is planned at 1 p.m., today, Nov. 1, at the Church of God in Oceanside.
The family suggests donations to the San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103.
