William "Bill" Thompson, BHS 1941Bill Thompson, 79, died May 17, 2003, in Fresno.
He was born in Iowa and was a longtime Burbank resident. He graduated from Burbank High School in 1941. Mr. Thompson served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He also worked as a radio and TV announcer for the San Francisco Giants. He was recently inducted into the Fresno Sports Hall of Fame.
Mr. Thompson is survived by his children, Kathy and Brian; and two grandchildren. A memorial service in Fresno is pending.
