Stephen Earl Whittle, BHS 1972

Stephen Earl Whittle was born in Peoria, Illinois to Horace Raymond and Juanita Mae Whittle. The family moved to California when he was an infant. Steve lived most of his life in Burbank attending Providencia Elementary, Luther Burbank and Burroughs schools.

He married Mary Lea Daly on August 9, 1980. After returning from their honeymoon he began his construction business. Their daughter, Stephanie Marie was born October 5, 1981. Steve loved being a dad. He enjoyed coaching Stephanie in soccer, climbing to Half Dome with her, watching her ballroom dance, and Geocaching whenever possible.

He loved restoring his first vehicle, a 1957 Ford Ranchero, hiking in Yosemite and vacationing in Hawaii. He loved woodworking and making stained glass windows. He had a creative talent in the arts, and it seemed there was nothing he couldn't do.

He was devoted to his wife Mary and daughter Stephanie, and he will be missed by his family as well as many friends, and clients who became friends.He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter, Stephanie, mother, Juanita Ribble, her husband John, brother, Michael Whittle (Pam), sister, Lynn Gurin (Bob), brother, Alan Whittle (Mary Anne), sister, Barbara Whittle, brother, Frank Whittle, brother, Andrew Ribble, and many nieces and nephews.
