George Edward Vose was born in Burbank, California on August 22, 1945, he graduated from Burbank High School in 1963 and went on to graduate from California State University, Northridge in 1972 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in geology with minor degrees in math and biology.
He was known by all for his knowledge and expertise in automobiles and raced cars both at El Mirage dry lakes in California and at the Bonneville salt flats in Utah holding various top speed records at each race tract.
He is survived by his older brother Gary Vose of Newport Beach, and a nephew and two nieces. He was well liked and loved by all for his outgoing optimistic personality and will be very much missed. George died in early May and his ashes were scattered over the El Mirage race tract on May 19th.
