Frances L. Robinson, 79, of Elm Creek died Friday, May 14, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Memorial services will be Friday at Elm Creek United Methodist Church and private burial will be at a later date. O’Brien-Straatmann-Apfel Mortuary in Kearney and Elm Creek in charge.
Frances was born November 27, 1924, in Sacramento, California to her parents, George and Maime (Bailey) Lamb. Frances grew up in Burbank, California and received her education at Burbank High School, graduating in 1943. She was married April 28, 1950 to Francis Robinson in Wichita, Kansas. He preceded her in death.
They lived in Wichita, moved to Sunland, California; was a beautician and homemaker; also lived in Elm Creek and was employed by Coleman Powermate in Kearney. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elm Creek.
Survivors include; sons, Rick of Palmdale, California, Larry of Glendale, California, Dale of Lexington, and Kirk of Kearney; brother, Robert Lamb of Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; also daughters-in-law, Sheri of Glendale and Janice of Kearney; sister-in-law, Sophie of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a half-sister, Georgia Hicklan.
