Leaburg - Lyla Eugenia McAuliffe of Leaburg died October 17, 1997 at age 79. Her family did not disclose the cause of death.
She was born November 27, 1917 in Seville, California, to Wilbur and Adella Rockenfield Smith. She graduated from Burbank High School, Burbank, California in 1935. On May 11, 1942, she married John McAuliffe in Burbank, California. He died November 24, 1995.
McAuliffe was an area resident since 1964. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Burbank and the McKenzie River Extension Group. She enjoyed sewing and traveling in the United States and British Columbia.
No services will be held. Buell Chapel in Springfield is in charge of the cremation.
