Boyce Drusen - BHS 1939

A memorial service will be held May 18 for Boyce R. "Bud" Drusen of Eugene, who died May 8, 2002 of age-related causes. He was 82. Drusen was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Racine, Wis., to William and Anna Arbogast Drusen. He lived in Racine until 1937, then moved to Burbank, Calif. During World War II, he served in the Army as a rifleman. Drusen moved to Glendale, Calif., in 1944. He married Diana Musgrove in Pasadena, Calif., on Nov. 15, 1967. The couple moved to Eugene in 1979. Drusen worked as an electrician for 53 years. Before retiring, he worked 12 years as an electrician for the Eugene School District.

His interests included his church, gardening and spending time at the beach. He was a member and priest in the New Apostolic Church. Drusen also belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electorical Workers and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Linda Komula of Veneta and Linda Alldridge of Eugene; two brothers, Bill of Mesa, Ariz., and Val of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Saturday's service will be at noon at the New Apostolic Church, 1345 W. 16th Ave. in Eugene. Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Apostolic Church.
