Steven Daniel Seay, BHS 1971

Steven Daniel Seay , 56, passed away on March 14, 2008, in Ventura, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer (lymphoma).

Steve was born in Burbank, Calif., on Jan. 10, 1952, he graduated from Burbank High School and lived in the Burbank area while employed in commercial construction for more than 30 years prior to the start of his illness. He lived the past six years in Oxnard and Port Hueneme.

Steve was preceded in death by his sister Susan Seay; father, Albert Seay ; and uncle Ronald Wamhoff.

Steve is survived by a large and loving family, his mother Dolores Seay ; daughter, Stefanie Seay ; two grandsons, Kameran Seay and Micah Seay of Big Bear, Calif.; aunts and uncles, Phyllis and Bud Gerding of Port Hueneme, Joannie and Don Wamhoff of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Carol and Bill Rebber of Big Bear and Barbara Wamhoff of Coronado Island, Calif.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Prior to Steve's illness, he was a very active man; he loved skiing, surfing and bicycle riding and was very proud of his Ducati Monster motorcycle.

Steve and his family wish to thank Dr. Evan D. Slater and his staff for the loving and kind care they provided during the time of his illness.

There will be a graveside service interment at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.

The James A. Reardon-Payton Mortuary, Oxnard, has handled arrangements.
