Lance G. Clenard, 58, of Barrington.

Beloved husband of Cindy, nee Weber, Clenard; loving father of Jeff (Julie) McElroy, Bryan McElroy and Anna (Jon) Grice; cherished grandfather of Lucas; dear son of the late Vincent and late Barbara, nee Ferris, Clenard; fond brother of Jeff (Colleen) Clenard, Chris (Karyn) Clenard and Carol (Randy) Johnson; uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 12 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Des Plaines, 766 Graceland, Des Plaines.

An ice cream social to follow at 2 p.m. Casual attire please.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Hero's Fund, 415 Garnsey Ave., Bakersfield, Ca 93309 or Salute, Inc., P.O. Box 236 Prospect Heights, IL 60070.

Lance G. Clenard, of Barrington

Lance G. Clenard was born March 6, 1950 to Vincent and Barbara (nee Ferris) Clenard, in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Clenard was a member of the Allegro Choir of Palatine, the Harper Festival Chorus, the Bartlett Community Theatre Productions, a board member of the St. Marcelline Productions and a member of Presbyteria of Chicago.

Lance is survived by his wife Cindy (nee Weber) Clenard; his children Jeff (Julie) McElroy, Bryan McElroy and Anna (Jon) Grice; his grandson Lucas; his siblings Jeff (Colleen) Clenard, Chris (Karyn) Clenard, Carol (Randy) Johnson and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held Saturday September 6 from 12:00 PM until the time of memorial service at 1:00 PM at First Congregational Church of Des Plaines, 766 Graceland, Des Plaines. An ice cream social to follow at 2 PM. Casual attire please.
