Kerry David Sterger, BHS 1970

Kerry David Sterger passed away at his home in Yerington on Thursday evening, March 2, 2006. He was 54.

He was born in Long Beach, California on July 12, 1951, the son of Roland and May (Hardee) Sterger. Kerry lived his life as a contractor and truck driver and had resided in Yerington for the past six years. He loved life and the great outdoors; he was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved animals especially his Rottweiler. None of this surpassed the love of his family.

He is survived by his wife, Amber; daughters, Lindsey Dillard and Rene Williams; his son, Randy Smith; his brother, Ray Sterger and his sisters, Sandra Harper and Debra Ashby and his father, Roland Sterger. He is also survived by the special loves of his life, his granddaughters, Rebecca and Laura. He was preceeded in death by his mother. Kerry was a loving family member and he will be sorely missed.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home, Yerington, with Pastor David Heath officiating. Pallbearers were Chris Asby, Colton Ashby, Jason Harper, Mat Harper, Ryan Harper, Randy Smith and Jerry Sterger. Burial was at the Valley View Cemetery.
