Motorcyclist who died in accident identified A motorcyclist who died in an accident Saturday on Bonanza Road east of Decatur Boulevard has been identified as Michael A. Yonan , 33, of Las Vegas. Yonan was driving west on a 2005 Honda motorcycle on Bonanza when he entered eastbound traffic and crashed into a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe at 5:20 p.m., Las Vegas police said.

The Tahoe, driven by 45-year-old Las Vegas woman Marcela Jimenez-Martinez, was making a U-turn at the time of the crash, police said. Police said Yonan was driving at a high rate of speed when he crossed into oncoming traffic to pass the Tahoe.

Michael Anthony Yonan , 33, of Las Vegas, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006.

He was born Sept. 26, 1972, in Van Nuys, Calif., and resided in Nevada for 10 years. Michael was married to his wife, Debbie for 15 years and was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a valued team member of the Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, where he worked as the facilities director.

Michael was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed working out and playing with his beloved dogs, Sweet Pea, Peanut, Oliver and Zeus.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Luanne Yonan ; brother, Nicholas Yonan ; grandfather, George Andrew Yonan ; and an uncle, Daniel Phillip Yonan . Michael is survived by his wife, Debbie Yonan of Las Vegas; son, Matthew Yonan of Las Vegas; father, Andy Yonan ; stepmother, Linda Yonan , both of California; mother-in-law, Debbie Delman of Las Vegas; brothers, Christopher Yonan and Peter Yonan , both of California, and Nick Delman of Nevada; close friends, Jesse and Rae Anna Ybarra of Nevada; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other close friends.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills Mortuary in Los Angeles. Memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 15, at Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, 7220 South Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
