Robert Bruce Hotchkiss, BHS 1963

Robert Bruce Hotchkiss 56 of Panguitch, Utah died May 1 2002 in Salt Lake City Utah.

Robert was born Dec. 31 1945 in Glendale Calif. to Willard Burton and Helen Adena Schuld Hotchkiss. He married Norma Sanchez who preceded Robert in death. He married Linda Tuttle and they later divorced. On Oct. 23 1993 he married Lynn Ramsey in Santa Barbara.

Robert began working at the age of 10 delivering newspapers. He graduated from Burbank High School in 1963. He was a district manager with the Herald Examiner for many years. His son Christopher was born in 1980 and had since brought great joy to Robert's life. He was a manager with Ralphs grocery for 25 years.

Robert and Lynn moved to the Panguitch area and built a home overlooking the beautiful red rocks of Red Canyon fulfilling a longtime dream of living in Utah. He loved exploring the beauty of the local area gardening fishing and just being outdoors. He was a member of the Panguitch Lions Club the Roller Mill Hill Gunslingers Club a lifetime member of the NRA and a longtime member of the Crescenta Valley Gun Club.

Robert was a friend to all and enjoyed making new friends. Despite his health he always looked for ways to help everyone at every opportunity. He will be greatly missed especially by his wife Lynn who has enjoyed the most wonderful loving nine and one-half years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife Lynn of Panguitch Utah; son Christopher Robert of Newbury Park; mother Helen A. of Sylmar Calif.; brother Rollin (wife Deana) of Pullman Wash.; sister Suzy (husband Rick) Burroughs of Sylmar Calif.; and 10 nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Bob very much. He was preceded in death by his father Burt and former wife Norma.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday May 4 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Third Ward chapel 150 North 400 East in Panguitch Utah. Friends may call at the church in Panguitch Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30. Burial will be at the Panguitch Cemetery. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Roller Mill Hill Gunslingers Club in care of Rick Oldham president Panguitch UT 84759.
