Karen Leigh Bungay Belkin, BHS 1963

Karen Leigh Belkin, 56, died May 1, 2002, in Encinitas.Ms. Belkin was born Sept. 9, 1945, in Glendale. She lived in Burbank until 1978, when she moved to San Diego County. Ms. Belkin loved gardening, genealogy, and crafts.

Survivors include her husband, Alan Belkin; daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Jason Ness of New York; two grandchildren; mother Doris Bungay of Burbank; brother Rodney Bungay of Paradise; and many friends.

Funeral services are at noon Sunday at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego.The family requests memorial donations be sent to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 8070 La Jolla Shores Drive, PMB 509, La Jolla, CA 92037.
