Randi Nadine Nadler, cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Born December 5, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Fishkin and Judith Dann Fishkin. Randi lived a vibrant life full of passion and determination.
As a mother to her daughters Aileen (Dave) Barker and Michelle (James) Nadler-London, Randi exemplified strength and dedication. She took immense joy in being a grandmother to Harper, a role she treasured deeply. Harper brought her boundless joy, and she loved every moment spent with her.
Randi was known for her headstrong and determined personality. She was never one to shy away from giving her opinion, and her quick wit often left those around her in laughter. She approached life with a bold spirit and an unwavering confidence that inspired those fortunate enough to know her.\
Among her many interests, Randi found great pleasure in traveling, making jewelry, and celebrating the timeless music of Elvis Presley. These hobbies were reflective of her vibrant personality and her zest for life.
Randi is also survived by her beloved sister, Beth Fishkin Sanders, and her adoring nieces, Stephanie Lauren Sanders, Alexandra Melanie Sanders, and Brittanie Ilene Sanders, along with her great-niece, Bryce Judith Sanders. The bonds she formed with her family were strong, and her legacy will continue to live on through them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime partner Steven Hall.
As we remember Randi, we celebrate a life that touched many hearts, a spirit that was never afraid to be herself, and the unforgettable memories she created with her loved ones. Her presence will be sorely missed, but her love and the lessons she imparted will remain forever in our hearts.

Diane Aleta Helmers, 69, of Ames, IA passed away May 2, 2022 at Israel Family Hospice in Ames. Graveside services will be Saturday May 7, 2022 at 11am at the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Diane was born on September 26, 1952 in Los Angeles, CA to Don and Donna (Lem) Boudinot. She married Robert Helmers on April 12, 1980 and he was by her side when she transitioned. She most recently worked supporting Bob's business, in every role from vice president all the way down to mail clerk. Many might remember Diane's tales from when she was younger and worked at the psych ward in Iowa City.
Diane loved animals, reading, and her marshmallow peeps, especially the chocolate covered ones. Diane had a lot of love for her family and never hesitated to put others before herself.
She is survived by husband, Bob of Ames; a daughter, Kimberly (Ryan) Standard of Boulder, CO; her son, Michael (fiancée Ty Elliott) of Ames; a granddaughter, Maddie; the family's very loved dog Callie, her step-mother Margie Boudinot of California, her brother, Doug Boudinot of Oregon and her half-sister, Wendy Godfrey of Califronia.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents and half-sister, Donna Rae Boudinot, and Paul, Jean, Brian and BJ Lem, who were all so important to her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Israel Family Hospice House.

We just learned at our Class of ’70 50+1 Reunion on October 3rd that Cheryl Garbers Henderson passed away a few months ago. She had had several health issues the last few years, including dealing with M.S.
Cheryl was the third of the four children of Art and D’Anne (Doris Anne) Garbers. While the kids were growing up the family lived at 937 Uclan Dr. in Burbank. Jennifer Garbers was BHS ’67, Sylvia Garbers was BHS ’68, Cheryl was BHS ’70, and Doug Garbers was BHS ’72. Art Garbers, was one of the original engineers for Disney, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC and ventalation. In the late ‘50s and half of the ‘60s the Garbers Family attended the First Baptist Church of Burbank at Glenoaks and Fairmount Rd. Cheryl went through school in Burbank at Thomas Jefferson Elementary, John Muir Junior High, and Burbank High. On January 27, 1973 Cheryl married Lyle Henderson. They had three children and several grandchildren. They lived for many years in Los Angeles, in Eagle Rock. They also had a home at Frazier Park, CA where they spent much of their time in recent years.
Cheryl’s mother, D’Anne (Doris Anne), was the twin sister of Darrell Shaner, father of Stan Shaner BHS ’70, Anne Shaner Hansen BHS ’71, and Jeanne Shaner BHS ’76. D’Anne Garbers passed away in mid-2020 at age 99, and her twin brother, Darrell Shaner, passed away a few months later on November 11, 2020 at age 99 ½.
Cheryl Garbers Henderson is survived by her husband, Lyle Henderson, her three children, several grandchildren, and by her older sisters, Jennifer and Sylvia, and their families. Cheryl’s father, Art Garbers, passed away in 1999, her mother, D’Anne, passed away in 2020, and her younger brother, Doug Garbers, passed away in 2014.

Stephen Clift LeSueur, 73, died at home in Arlington, Virginia, on July 1, 2025, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on January 6, 1952, in Los Angeles, California, Steve was the second child of John and Dolores Clift LeSueur. Steve grew up in Burbank, California, with his brothers David and Jeff and his sister Diana. He married Kathleen Reeder on March 26, 1986, in Washington, Utah. They moved from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arlington, Virginia, in 1989 and have lived in the Glencarlyn neighborhood ever since.
Steve received undergraduate degrees in history and psychology from Brigham Young University, a master’s degree in history from George Mason University, and was an economics teaching fellow at the University of Utah. During his college years he served as a missionary in Norway for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Steve pursued a career as a journalist and magazine editor, working for various defense and technology publications. In addition, he was a published author and highly regarded Mormon historian. His first book, The 1838 Mormon War in Missouri, (University of Missouri Press, 1987) won the 1987 Best Book award from the John Whitmer Historical Association. More recently, he wrote Life and Death on the Mormon Frontier: The Murders of Frank LeSueur and Gus Gibbons by the Wild Bunch (Greg Kofford Books, 2023). His essays and articles on Mormon history have been published in numerous journals and books. His final book, Every Man a Prophet (Greg Kofford Books, 2025) was a novel exploring missionary life.
Steve’s generosity, enthusiasm, wit and varied skills made him a valued contributor to community activities. These included editing school and neighborhood newsletters, coaching his children’s recreation basketball teams from elementary through high school, and, most recently, helping to organize a speakers program at his local library branch.
His sense of humor and sincere interest in people made Steve a favorite of many extended LeSueur and Reeder family members, especially children. He organized card games, devised backyard athletic competitions, filmed impromptu musical performances and played elaborate jokes that are now legendary contributions to family lore. He encouraged a love of animals, most especially cats, hamsters, guinea pigs and rats, teaching his children to love, appreciate and care for them. His inclusion of his family’s cats as characters in lively bedtime stories highlighted his creativity and sense of humor. He welcomed summer visits from nieces and nephews, sharing his knowledge of history on numerous visits to local monuments and museums.
For two years, Steve endured a difficult regimen of treatments to fight pancreatic cancer. His courage, determination, optimism, graciousness and sense of humor were evident as he looked for ways to continue enjoying life. He spent time with family and friends, participated in community activities, attended jazz and theater performances, and traveled to New York, South Carolina, California, Utah, Colorado and Oregon. He made final edits to his novel and arranged for its publication in 2025.
A celebration of life will be held on August 2 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Ireland’s Four Courts, 2051 Wilson Blvd, Arlington VA 22201.

David Sherman Deutch, MD was born August 5, 1952, in Tyler, Texas, to Sherman and Lois Dixon Deutch. His father was a lawyer and his mother a secretary.
He was raised in Burbank, California, where he attended public schools. Dave didn't play sports at his high school but as a fifteen-year-old, he pitched a perfect game for a local recreation league team. "They couldn't hit my fifteen mile-per-hour fastball," Dave would quip with a wink. During this time he forged a bond with a dozen or so friends known to themselves as the Deutch Gang. They held forth in Dave's garage, buoyed by music, pool, high jinx, and conversation. According to one member, "It was a cross between the serenity of Walden Pond and the atmosphere of Cheers, where everyone not only knew your name but who you were deep down inside." The fifty-year connection between members continues to this day.
Dave attended the University of California at Davis where he majored in physiology and went on to earn his degree in medicine and ophthalmology. He practiced ophthalmology for thirty years in Eugene, Oregon, and Cottonwood, Arizona.
Dave and his wife, Chris Clarke, met while working together at PeaceHealth. A mutual interest in ballroom dancing led to dance classes and then moved on to collaborating on home improvement projects. Finding they could navigate challenging partnerships such as these with ease, Dave and Chris made it permanent by marrying in 2009. The joy found in their friendship spilled over onto all who knew them. Chris describes Dave as a remarkable man whose kindness and love radiated through every moment they shared. His adventurous spirit and sharp intelligence inspired those around him, while his sense of humor could light up any room. She remembers him as the best dancer in the world, effortlessly making her feel like a princess every time they took the dance floor together. "His memory will forever be cherished in my heart", says Chris.
Due to the ravages of Parkinson's Disease on mind and body, Dave passed peacefully at home on December 14, 2024 surrounded by those who loved him dearly. Even in decline, the extent of Dave's influence cannot be overestimated. It was seen in his concern with how everyone else around him was doing. Dave was unfailingly kind, but honest ... with a sharp wit, ready for real conversation on wide ranging topics. He was an avid traveler and constant learner, expanding his knowledge and game for adventure. He loved gathering friends together for good food, excellent drinks, carefully selected music, and good times. His calm demeanor, welcoming personality, and mischievous grin with a twinkling eye, endeared him to patients, family members, colleagues, and friends ... many of whom regarded Dave as their best friend.
Dave loved being a father and his daughters were bright spots in his life. Ashley's words: "I idolized my dad growing up. He was active, funny, creative, and outgoing. He never nagged us, and I was never afraid to tell him what was going on in my life. He made me feel comfortable going to him with problems. I knew that he would help me with anything and I would not feel judged for it. Dad was always making things fun and creative for us. When I was in college, we made an entertainment center together out of copper piping. It's moved from Eugene to Denver to Seattle and to Bend with me. It's still in my living room. I think of the fun we had making it together often. Dad also came with me to buy my first fake ID on the street in San Francisco!"
And Emily: "He led by example, never putting any pressure on us to be a certain way, but because he was so great, we wanted to be like him in many ways. My dad is one of the easiest people to be around. He was fun without being overbearing or attention seeking. He always had a well-timed joke and was charming in an unassuming type of way. He treated people well, everyone. I'm not sure that I've ever met a less judgmental person. He sees the good in everyone and had friendships with people with vastly different world views, bringing people together. He was highly intelligent and accomplished yet also the antithesis of a snob, genuine and incredibly down to earth."
Due to his love of science and learning, Dave requested his body be donated to OHSU Medical School. Donations in Dave's memory can be made to Parkinson's Resources of Oregon or End of Life Choices of Oregon.

I am so sorry to deliver the sad news that our dear friend, Alan Landros, passed away on December 31, 2023. Alan fought his cancer diagnosis with determination and grit.
Alan was born on June 25, 1952 to Marion and Martin at California Lutheran Hospital in Los Angeles . He was an only child and was raised in Burbank. He attended Jefferson Elementary, John Muir junior high and Burbank high schools. He then graduated from CSULA with a degree in police science. Alan became an investigator while working at Forest Lawn as well as a security position at Arco Oil.
Alan unfortunately inherited his mother’s poly cystic kidney disease which greatly restricted his life. He was granted a second chance at a full life when his classmate, Blyden Loutensock, stepped up and donated his kidney to Alan. Blyden and Alan shared a life long unbreakable bond.
To adequately describe Alan is a daunting task. He was a gentleman with a deep Christian faith, a car lover who enjoyed purchasing new cars throughout his life, a world traveler, a tale teller and somewhat of a perfectionist.
He was also the class historian of our BHS 1970 class and he could recall minute details of most everyone’s life that he knew.
The unfortunate consequence of being an organ recipient is the side effects of the anti-rejection medicine that was crucial. It suppresses the immune system which led to his many skin cancer surgeries and ultimately to his stage 4 diagnosis.
Alan will be deeply missed by his many, many friends from church, school, his neighborhood and life .

Alan’s memorial service will be held on February 6th at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills which is just outside of Burbank
The time is noon and the doors open at 11:30. The location is the Old North Church which is at the far right rear of the cemetery. It’s a red brick building. A short graveside service will follow. Alan’s grave is a short walking distance from the church.
There will be a reception after the service . The location is yet to be determined but I will post it as soon as we know. It would be very helpful to us if you could let us know if you will be attending the reception. We need to give an estimate of how many will be joining us.

It is with great pain and deep sadness I have to announce that Kim Norwood, my friend and Director of Photography for “The Chronic Pain Educational Documentary Series,” has passed away on Sunday, December 20th, 2009 due to liver metastatic cancer complications. Kim’s 22 year battle with hairy cell Leukemia and chronic pain combined with an Emmy Award (4) 35 year broadcasting career experience he shared with my valuable team made him an indispensable member of our team’s effort to educate on the issues related to chronic pain. He will be missed greatly.
During the past year that I have been fortunate to work and become friends with Kim he has been a driving force and constant source of inspiration. Kim’s life experience will serve as reminder of why ‘The Chronic Pain Educational Series” have started and how we have all discovered each other set on our mission to educate on the issues related to chronic pain.
Kim, thank you for your humanity, your friendship, your great work and most of all for being courageous, honest and authentic. Wherever you might be at I wish you are cancer and pain free, safe, loved and pampered with joy, fulfillment and pleasure should you wish toying with the best camera your mind can conceive, your hands can operate and your eyes can record through. Thank you and have a good trip.
Kim was survived by family, siblings, his father, a few friends, colleagues, the numerous people that treated him over the years, the millions that struggle to battle cancer and chronic pain day after day and the many millions around the world who have witnessed countless hours of 4 different Olympic events coverage through his eyes and ears. As an independent Cinematographer Kim had made an equal contribution and his work will be seen in 2010 through “The Chronic Pain Educational Documentary Series,” and his spirit will live on. My sympathies go to his family members, friends and everyone Kim’s life has touched.

Sandra Jean Haldeman, 39, of Paso Robles died Monday, November 4, 1991, at her home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church in Paso Robles with the Rev. James Henry officiating. Burial will be at the Paso Robles District Cemetery. Miss Haldeman was born November 8, 1951, in El Paso, Texas. Formerly of Burbank, California, she had lived in Paso Robles eight years. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.
She is survived by her parents, Robert and Mary Jean Haldeman of Paso Robles; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Teri Ann and Michael Molinaro of Geyserville, Jill and Robert King of Palmdale and Melissa and Jerry Santoro of Paso Robles; a brother and sister-in-law, Rob and Beverly Haldeman of Castaic; her grandmother, Edith Haldeman of Westminster; and numerous nieces and nephews.

SMSgt. George Francis Hall, Retired; age 70, of Larimore, ND, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Fargo, ND.
On April 14, 1952 George was born at Midway Hospital in St. Paul, MN to Marian Therese (Winkler) and George Octavia DeLisle. When George was a few years older the family moved to Burbank, California. George attended and graduated from Burbank High School in May of 1970.
In March, 1971, he enlisted in the Air Force. His first duty station was at SAC Headquarters Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska where he met his wife Jewell Anna DuPree. They had three children: John Paul (Claire) Hall of Larimore, ND; Marian Eloise (CMSgt. David) Southall of Elgin AFB, Florida and George Robert Ward (Dani) Hall of Grand Forks, ND.
George served in Vietnam while stationed in Thailand. He was then stationed at Minot AFB, ND for 9-1/2 years. He was then stationed at Misawa, AB, Japan for 4-1/2 years where his youngest child was born. After Japan he was stationed at Grand Forks AFB, ND. He purchased a home in Larimore, ND, at that time where he and his family stayed after his retirement in April, 1992.
George was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather. He is survived by 4 siblings, 4 siblings-in-law, 7 grandchildren: Aerica (Alex), Matthew, Michael, Megan, Sarah, Fara and Luca; several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
George will be remembered as the youngest Eagle Scout in Burbank, California when he made rank, as an avid gardener, someone that would help anyone and watching his children and grandchildren living life experiences and having fun.
Celebration of Life Services will be at Harvest Baptist Church, 701 East Front St., Larimore on October 15, 2022 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ken Shaffer officiating.
Interment will be Monday, October 24 at 11 a.m. in the Fargo National Cemetery.

Jill Dee Turner, age 69, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on her birthday, July 23, 2021 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and most importantly, devout Christ-follower. She was born on July 23, 1952 to Al and Jackie Thompson in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jill met her husband, John, on New Year's Eve 1967. She grew up in Burbank, California and graduated Burbank High School in 1970. Jill went on to earn a degree in Interior Design at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Jill worked as a business owner and homemaker for over forty-eight years.
She enjoyed her kids, grandkids, and traveling with her husband, John. Perhaps most importantly, she was one of the privileged few to pass away on her birthday. In the ancient Old Testament tradition, this signifies a person who has fulfilled God's complete and perfect mission, and is considered a special gift and blessing.
Jill is survived by her husband, John E. Turner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her children, Katie (fiancé, Matthew Akromis) Turner, and Travis (Kelly) Turner; and her grandchildren, Stella, Clara, and Cade.
Private Graveside Service will be held at, 9:00AM, Friday, July 30, 2021.

Jana Jordan Guest, passed away on Friday night, January 29, 2021, at her home in Pahrump, Nevada, after a short illness of six weeks. Her loving partner, John Deahl (BHS '69), was with her when she passed away.
When a Senior at BHS in 1969/1970 Jana was Head Majorette with the Band and Drill Team. Jana's first two years of college were at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and her last two years were at USC where she graduated.
Jana grew up the youngest of three, with her older brothers, Jeffrey Jordan (BHS '65), and Judd Jordan (BHS '69). She attended Emerson Elementary, John Muir Junior High, and Burbank High School, graduating in 1970. She worked in the 1970's and 1980's in Glendale as a Bank Vice President, P.R. Director of the Glendale Chamber of Commerce, and in her own P.R. business. In 1990 she moved from Burbank to Ridgecrest, CA with her former husband. About 2013 she moved from Ridgecrest to Pahrump, Nevada.

Jana Jordan Guest, 1952-2021
A memorial will be held on March 27, 2021, 12:00 to 3:00, in Pahrump, NV, at the VFW Post 10054, located at 4651 Homestead Road, Pahrump, Nevada.
Jana passed on 1/29/2021. She lived in Pahrump, NV, a beautiful desert community about 60 miles outside of Las Vegas with her best friend and partner John Deahl.
When Jordan's home was hit by a landslide in 1962 their neighbors pitched in to remove over 5 feet of mud from the house, and the Salvation Army provided much needed assistance to the family. Thus began Jana's lifelong passion for aiding others. She always kept the Salvation Army close to her heart and was on the board of directors at two different local Corps Community Centers.
Raised in Burbank, California by her parents, Joe and Adele, and her two older brothers, Jeffery and Judd, Jana led a wonderful life that was full of close friends, excitement, and travel which included 20+ different countries.
She graduated from Burbank High School in 1970, then went on to be a 3rd generation graduate of USC. Jana is survived by her mother Adele, brothers Jeffery and Judd and their families, and a multitude of friends. She was married to Navy Commander (Ret.) Lawrence (Buck) Guest for 28 years and kept a close friendship with him, his family and other in-laws.
