Desiree Marie Quick passed away on February 21, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on July 23, 1964, in Virginia, Desiree was a resident of Henderson, Nevada.

I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know Desiree about a year ago, and from the very beginning, we just clicked. She had such a kind and caring soul.

We shared so many little things that meant so much: a love for California and dreams of returning, a soft spot for cats and all animals, and even something as simple as the color purple.

Last year, when she visited California, she went to Knott’s Berry Farm—an amusement park she knew I loved. While she was there, she sent me pictures, wanting to share those moments with me because she knew how much I missed it. That was who she was—always thinking of others, always finding ways to bring a little joy to someone else’s heart.

I will always hold those memories close.

You will be missed, Bunny.

 I have some sad news to share. Burbank High Class of ‘82 has lost one of our classmates. Gregg Qualls passed away this evening April 28th. Our class has lost another bulldog too soon. Deepest sympathies to his family and friends. 💔

Russell Vincent Ing, 51, born on January 25, 1964 in Glendale, California, passed away May 7, 2015. He resided in Tujunga, California, at the time of his passing.

Arrangements were under the direction of Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, California. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills. See his Find A Grave Memorial here. 

According to a classmate who saw him the week before where Russell had been battling lung cancer and said he was ready to go and meet Jesus. No other details at this time.

Suspect Sought In Van Nuys Stabbing

A Van Nuys man suspected of stabbing another man to death during an argument over a woman was still at large Sunday, authorities said.

Los Angeles police issued an all-points bulletin for Gregorio Maximo, 23, on Saturday. Witnesses told police Maximo fled after stabbing John Miser, also 23, about 3:45 a.m., said Officer Cindy Rangwala. Miser was found on the floor of a bedroom of his home in a trailer park in the 7600 block of Balboa Boulevard in Van Nuys, police said.

Miser was pronounced dead at the scene of stab wounds to his upper body.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jaime Hernandez Ztinztun who passed away on October 28 2017 in Burbank, California, leaving to mourn family and friends. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jaime Hernandez Ztinztun's life. Jaime was a 1982 graduate of Burbank High School where he played on the Burbank High soccer team.

Jaime spend most of his last months of his life in the hospital,  battling  his illness.  Jaime was a loving husband to his wife Maru and a caring father to his dauglters Jasmine and Ashley,  Jaime was always very involved in the church community of Saint Francis Xavier in Burbank , where him and his wife Maru will always be helping in the Sunday morning services.  His love for animals was incredible,  which is why he chose the veterinary profession. 

 A coworker left the following message:
Jaime was one of the most dependable people I have worked with. He had an undying love and caring for animals and his friends and coworkers. I worked with him in many situations and several hospitals. He even took my dog to the crematory for me which showed how unselfish he was. He always smiled and was pleasant. I will truly miss him. He was a true friend in ever aspect. He loved his family and his career. His girls and wife were everything to him. I have prayed many times for his family at this

difficult time. So many of us in the veterinary community will miss him. He was a super nice person and I will truly miss him. My love and prayers for his beloved family. He was taken too soon, and I know he is in heaven.

He is survived by his wife and daughters.

VALENCIA - Nearly four years after Tim Goldrick Jr. died of cancer at 35, his family and friends - about 110 of them - hit the links Saturday for the annual golf tournament played in honor of the husband and father.

When Goldrick was diagnosed with stage-4, terminal colon cancer in 1998, those who loved him organized a golf benefit to help send him to Germany and Mexico for some last-hope alternative medical treatments. ``My son said to (my husband), 'If I don't make it through this, please do this tournament every year in my name,''' said Rowena Wolkiewicz, Goldrick 's mother.

Goldrick died on Dec. 28, 1998, leaving behind a wife, Leigh, and two young daughters - Sydney, 12, and 9-year-old Devon - who live in Stevenson Ranch. Since then, Vista Valencia Golf Course has been the site of four memorial tournaments bearing Goldrick 's name. Wolkiewicz, who, with her husband, Tom, helps organize the event from their Arizona home, said the tournaments have raised between $1,000 to $2,000 each year, which has gone to organizations like Make-A-Wish and, last year, to the fund to help the widows and children of firefighters killed or injured in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Wolkiewicz split with her son's father, Tim Goldrick Sr., when the boy was 4, but the couple have always maintained a close relationship. The elder Goldrick praised the Wolkiewicz's dedication to honoring their son and those who continue to stand by his memory years after his death.

``I can't explain to you how we feel when we get a turnout of this nature,'' said Goldrick , a Valencia resident. ``We have these memorial tournaments to try and acknowledge the people - friends, old high school buddies, friends from work - who helped us with that first benefit tournament.'' Goldrick 's family and friends planted a tree near the third hole at Vista Valencia in 1999 and have watched it grow every year. Tom Wolkiewicz took his stepson's daughters to that living memorial recently, which also boasts a plaque bearing their father's name. ``It's nice that the kids have some place to go and remember him,'' Rowena Wolkiewicz said. ``The little one was only 4 when he died. She's having trouble remembering him. We had 110 people here today who remember him.''
