It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and devastating loss of our beloved Curtis. He suffered a massive heart attack and spent four days in the hospital fighting for his life. Despite the incredible efforts of the medical team and our family’s constant hope and prayers, he passed away, leaving behind a void that can never be filled.
This tragic loss has left his two sons facing a number of unexpected expenses — including medical bills from two hospitals, funeral and service costs, moving expenses, time off work, and frequent travel to and from Arizona. Any amount of donation is deeply appreciated.
Thank you all for the love and prayers not only sent to Curtis but to our family. This fundraiser is being organized by Brad and Joe's fiancé's, Jenna and Leeanne, to alleviate any additional stress that may come about in the next few weeks.

It is with deepest sadness that we inform you Michael McDaniel, 67, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away on April 23, 2024. He was born on June 24, 1956, in Burbank, California.
Michael was a beloved husband to Neva, a cherished father to Tim, Drew, Ashley, Nathan, and Erin, and a respected member of his community. He worked for the City of Burbank for 33 years, serving as the supervisor of the City's print shop before his retirement in 2020. Michael was also a dedicated Militaria Collector and enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, and honoring veterans through his work on the City's Veteran's Committee.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed watching TV shows with his family, taking vacations, visiting Knott's Berry Farm, working on his family genealogy, and enjoying retirement. He was known for his love of history, especially focusing on World War I and World War II. Michael was actively involved in honoring those who served their country and was a member of the City of Burbank's Veterans Committee for 30 years. He was instrumental in creating a veteran’s memorial book for the committee that honored those who died in the wars and were from Burbank. Michael was also a part of the committee and design team that re-designed and implemented the new veteran’s memorial statue at McCambridge Park.
He was also passionate about the early history of his hometown Burbank, California. He and his best friend, Wesley Clark, co-wrote and created a website called Burbankia, which they still add and maintain to this day. Michael and Wes also co-wrote and published 3 books that covered the early years of Burbank's history from the founding times of the city to around 1970. Talking history brought him so much joy and you could see his eyes light up when he got to share his history knowledge with those who knew him best and even those meeting him for the first time.
Michael will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and his commitment to his family and community.
A Memorial Service will at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Cedar Ridge Ward building, 3195 S. Holmes Ave., Idaho Falls, to honor and celebrate his life. The memorial service will be televised for those not able to attend the service in person.

Liver transplant recipient Chris Hays dead at 43
BURBANK - Chris Hays, a former Burbank resident who received a liver transplant earlier this month, has died. He was 43.
Hays, who died January 20, 1999 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, was born in Los Angeles. He was a Burbank resident for 22 years before moving to Canoga Park in 1961. He was a graduate of Burbank High School, Class of 1974. He was employed by a free-lance photographer for seven years.
Hays, who had hemophilia, a congenital blood disorder, served on the board of the Hemophiliac Foundation of Southern Califoria.
He had end-stage liver disease for three years, the result of being infected by hepatitis C in the late 1980s during blood tranfusions. He also contracted HIV in 1982 due to blood transfusions.
Hays, who was placed on a donor list in May 1998, underwent a liver transplant January 7 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. The hospital was the only one in the country that would perform his liver transplant due to his HIV infection, said his sister, Mary Hays.
"My brother would have had morechance for survival if he had gotten a donor sooner," said Hays. "They're aren't enough organ donors. People should sign an organ donor card and tell their family members they're donors."
Mr. Hays is survived by his wife, Rebecca; sisters, Terry HaysHorner, Carolyn Hays Hensley and Mary Hays; father, Luverne, of Burbank; neice, Elizabeth Hensley; and nephew, David Hensley.

Sherrie Helen King-Sletten, 66, passed away in Colorado Springs, Colorado on January 26, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1956 in Cortez, Colorado to William Ray King and Marion Lavern Caylor. Sherrie was a laboratory technician.
Sherrie is survived by her two children; and her sister, Renee Lavern King. She was proceeded in death by her parents, William Ray King and Marion Lavern Caylor.
NOTE: From her sister - She passed away suddenly due to a ruptured aneurysm in her aorta causing a massive stroke instantly.
Ernest B. Johnson, Jr was born November 1, 1955 in Whittier, California, and passed away on October 16, 2006, surrounded by all of his family and close friends.
Ernest, also known to his family as “Butch”, left us way too soon. Butch lived here in Burbank most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and watching wrestling.
All who knew Butch knew what a great man he was. He loved his friends, adored his family, and was great with his nieces and nephews. Not having any kids of his own, he took all of his nieces and nephews under his wing. He had a huge heart. He did whatever he could to help the people in his life, even as his health declined he was there for us, Our Rock. We know he is in a better place.
He has joined our dad, and will be watching over us from the Heavens. We love him deeply and will miss him more than words can express.
Ernest is survived by his mother, June Johnson; sisters, Rita Hisel and Sharon Castle; brother, Kenny Johnson; also by his four nephews, three nieces, two great nephews, and five great nieces.

It is with great sadness that I report that my beloved brother, Paige Rodgers Parrish class of ‘74 passed away on July 28, 2022.
Paige was very active member of the student body at BHS, participating in student council, various musical groups and the BHS water polo team.
After leaving BHS, Paige went on to USC. There he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and continued his love of music by singing a solo at the Hollywood Bowl as part of their Songfest festivities.
He then went on to Santa Clara law school and graduated with a Jurist doctor degree in 1981.
He married Peggy Blake in 1984, started his law career in Pasadena, California and was a member of the Tournament of Roses for more than 30 years. He became a father to 4 beautiful children- Blake, Alexandra, Alana and Bridget. In 2021 he became a grandfather to his first granddaughter, Keaton Alexandra Parrish.
Paige fought a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer for 2 1/2 years always with a smile on his face and little if any complaints.
Paige touched the lives of many people and he will be missed dearly but his legacy to his friends and family will live on through the memories we made with him.

Dee Dee Kay (Morris) Sincomb, 66, passed through the gates of heaven peacefully at her home in Santa Clarita on Friday, September 10, 2021. She was surrounded by family and her husband of 46 years.
Dee Dee was born on January 30, 1955 in Glendale, California. She was the 2nd of three daughters of Luther and Betty Morris.
She grew up in the Burbank public school system and graduated from Burbank High in 1974.
Dee Dee and Randy had three children Brian, Kimberly and Jason which gave them nine grandchildren (Rachel, Jessica, Briana, Lyndsey, Julianne, Timothy, Savannah, Jayden and Riley). Dee Dee and Randy were Christian, and brought their family up to learn about the Lord. This was the foundation of their family. Dee Dee was devoted to her family. She was a very proud and supportive Mother and Grandmother.
Dee Dee was a Homemaker that volunteered at the kids schools, church and charity functions. For several years her and her partner Linda ran a very successful holiday boutique out of her home that grew to a larger location. Her sense of design and creativity was one of her greatest skill sets.
Dee Dee’s relationships with her friends and family were unique and special. She had a way of making you feel like you were the most special person to her. She was always doing for others, especially when no one was looking.
Dee Dee will never be forgotten and will always be in our hearts.
A celebration will be held on Sat. Oct. 23rd at 11:00 a.m. @

Stephen Reed Whatcott, 37, of Lawrenceville died Wednesday. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Sints in Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Bill Head Funeral Home in Duluth. Burial will be at Logan City Cemetery in Logan, Utah.
Dr. Whatcott, a native of Glendale, California, was a dentist with an office in Lithonia. He was a graduate of Emory University and Brigham Young University.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Smith Whatcott of Lawrenceville; two sons, Bradley Whatcott and Chad Whatcott, both of Lawrenceville; one daughter, Jamie Whatcott of Lawrenceville; his parents, Ross and Bonnie Whatcott of Burbank, California; four brothers, Craig Whatcott of Glendora, California, Lee Whatcott of Mission Viejo, California, Lin Whatcott of Kent, Washington, and Kerry Whatcott of West Jordan, Utah; and two sisters, Laura Ridge of Palmdale, California, and LeRae Dean of Dallas.

The matriarch of the Hartrum family, Debra Lynn Hartrum, took her last breath in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 12th, 2021. She passed on to the next world peacefully, surrounded by her loving family while listening to her favorite album, Pet Sounds, with Sloop John B. bringing her home to rest.
Debbie is survived by her best friend and husband Kerry Hartrum, sons Kris, Dustin, Adam, and Jameson Hartrum, grandsons Max and Woody Hartrum, sisters Pam Ryan, Sondra Cooper-Gullion, and Lynda Zivalich, and father Frank Cooper. She has fourteen nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is her mother, Frances Cruise and her brothers Charles “Chip” Gordon and Frank Cooper Jr.
Debbie was born September 9, 1956, in Würzburg, Germany to Frank Cooper and Francis Bowers. She lived in Lima, Ohio until her family moved to Los Angeles, California. As a child, Debbie was a dancer, gymnast, and beauty queen. After graduating from Burbank High in 1974, she worked as a model and then as a flight attendant for PSA.
She met her husband Kerry in a production of Grease at The Manatee Players in Bradenton, Florida in 1980. Kerry was Danny Zuko and Debbie was Cha Cha, the best dancer at St. Bernadette’s. The two fell in love and were quickly married on a beach at Anna Maria Island. After moving the family to Ohio, Debbie attended The College of Wooster, obtaining her BA in Religious Studies. She also received a Master's in Theology from Princeton University and a Master’s in Museum Studies from John Hopkins University. She was a lifelong academic and a voracious reader. She loved film, especially Gone with The Wind, West Side Story, White Christmas, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Graduate, and The Godfather.
To say that Debbie’s life was dedicated to her family is an understatement. Everything else was insignificant by comparison. Her family’s well-being was her every waking thought. She raised and educated her four sons, and unofficially adopted many of their friends over the years. She built a meaningful cultural hub at her Marion Street Home in Shelby, North Carolina. For decades, she maintained an intimate meeting place full of food, friends, parties, and the sounds of Frank Sinatra & The Beach Boys.
She was well-known for her Italian dinners which were passed on to her by her mother Frances through her Italian-American heritage. Vodka rigatoni, spicy meatballs with raisins, stuffed shells, and endless Christmas cookies filled the bellies of many through the years. Debbie loved to argue. If she didn’t like something, she told you. She was headstrong and outspoken and a powerful, rebellious woman. She didn’t have a poker face and she was as gullible as they come. Kerry’s jokes drove her up the wall, but you could tell she secretly liked them.

Patricia Ann Malson passed away peacefully at her home in Bakersfield on July 27th, 2020 went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 63 years. Born in Santa Cruz, California on November 14th, 1956.
Predeceased by grandson Austin Blake Malson and father-in-law Vincent Malson.
Survived by her loving husband of 39 years Dwayne Malson. And her parents Marvin and Dorothy Kilgore. Lovingly remembered by her sons Justin, Shane and Kameron; her daughter-in-laws Allison, Rebecca and Megan; her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Carol; her in-laws Rhonda, Rich and Linda; her grandchildren Jaxon, Victoria, Grant and Max; and many other family and friends. Place of interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Your life was a blessing, Your memory a treasure.
You are loved beyond words And missed beyond measure.
