Debra Anne Winkler Ohanian, BHS 1971 

Debra (Debi) Anne Ohanian passed away on November 11, 2025, surrounded by her family and friends. Debi was born on June 28, 1953, in Burbank, California, to Eugene and Gladys Winkler. She attended Burbank High School, graduating in 1971. In 1973, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark Ohanian. Debi and Mark traveled the world together and lived in a variety of places along the West Coast.

Together, they built a family that was the center of their world. They raised their two sons, Josh and Chris, in Sebastopol, California, and found their greatest joy when spending time with family. Mark went to Heaven in 1998, leaving Debi to very successfully raise Josh and Chris on her own.

Debi was the best mom and grandma, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her sons and granddaughter, Aliyah, as well as with her sisters and friends. She was an avid athlete. She loved to swim, walk, fish, play baseball, tennis, basketball, golf, ping- pong and billiards. She was competitive, often dominating her sons in sports, but was always a gracious winner. She was also an avid genealogist, tracing her family back to before they came over on the Mayflower.

Debi loved all animals, particularly dogs and cats. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and joke. She loved listening to and playing music. She really enjoyed spending time with her many friends. She spent time enjoying the sun, either in her pool or on her boat on Lake Sonoma. More recently, she loved to take Aliyah to the park with slices of bread to feed the ducks; something Aliyah will likely never forget. She was an excellent writer, wordsmith and poet. As her profession was court reporting, actively working until her passing, she always took pride in her writing and grammar. She taught her sons these skills at a young age as well. She was an amateur artist (painting and drawing) as well, although, some of her works were unintentionally quite Picasso-esque, which her family loved.

Debi was the best mom her two sons could ever have hoped for. Always telling them how much she loved them and how much they meant to her, and they always felt the same about her. She put both boys through college on her own, each graduating with multiple bachelor's degrees. She saw or spoke with both of her sons every day until her passing.

Debi is survived by her two sons, Josh and Chris, her granddaughter, Aliyah, her sisters Annette, Kathy, Jeanne, and sisters-in-law, Nancy and Priscilla, several nieces and nephews, and her cat, Biggy Smalls.

There will be a celebration of life ceremony at Hop Monk in Sebastopol on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. We (Debi's family) invite anyone who would like to celebrate her life with us. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Peace of Mind Dog Rescue in Pacific Grove, CA, in memory of Debi Ohanian.

We will always love you, Mom, and will miss you always. You are the best mom in the entire world. We know that we will see you in Heaven when our time here is done.

Margie was a popular classmate, Major of the Drill Team, Prom Queen among other social activities. Following graduation she had a very successful real estate career in the SFV and Orange County. 

She is survived by myself, our brother Bob, 1 nephew Robert, and 3 nieces, Nicole, Vivian, and Tami.

Kent Rimer, 45, died Saturday (14 Feb 1998) in Germany. A food sales representative, he was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Salisbury, N.C., and was a 10-year resident of Las Vegas. 

He is survived by his wife, Paulette; daughter, Jennifer; sons, Jeremy and Ryan, all of Las Vegas, and Erik of Simi Valley, California; mother, Mildred Kelley of Palm Desert, California; father, Karl Sr. of Burbank, California; brother, Karl Jr. of Palm Desert; and one grandchild. 

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Spirit Lutheran Church followed with graveside services in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Alberta Diane Van Winkle, daughter of Ardona Keith Van Winkle and Beatrice Ruth Binkerd, was born on January 9, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Diane, as she had been called all her life, was the oldest of her siblings. She was a devoted daughter and second mother to her brothers and sisters. Her youth was spent in Burbank, California where she graduated from Burbank Senior High School in 1971. Diane was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a young adult, she served as a missionary in Billings, Montana. Over the years, Diane held many callings in the Church. She worked in the Primary, Relief Society, Young Women's, and Activities Committee. Many people were blessed by her dedicated service.

In 1979, Diane married the love of her life, Don Robert McCall, in the Los Angeles, California Temple. Their union was sealed for time and all eternity. Don and Diane were truly a special couple. They made it a goal to never quarrel and their children can attest to the fact that they never once exchanged harsh words. Their relationship is an example of true love and dedication. Together they raised two children, Heather Orellana and Jonathan McCall. Never was a mother more devoted to her children than Diane. Her love for her family was unconditional and shown daily by her tireless, unselfish service. Her joy as a mother was made full as she became a Grandma to five beautiful grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Diane held a few different jobs, including the Department of Motor Vehicles. But the job she enjoyed the most was being a Teacher's Aide at Hort Elementary School in Bakersfield, CA. She worked in Third grade and also in Kindergarten. She loved helping the children, and the children loved her back. Diane was always a loyal friend. Her bright smile, easy laughter, and sweet disposition won her the friendship of many. If anyone needed help, Diane was the person they called.

In 2000, Diane suffered a stroke which would leave her paralyzed on one side of her body and unable to speak. Despite the long years of disability, Diane kept her beautiful smile, cheerful attitude, and sense of humor. Her endurance and patience in the face of such extreme hardship is a testament to the strength of her spirit. She showed us how to live with faith, hope, and love. Diane will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Diane was predeceased by her parents, Doanie and Bea Van Winkle, her sister, Debbie, and her husband, Don McCall. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather McCall Orellana and Jose A. Orellana, and her son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan McCall and Christina Cabrera McCall; by her siblings Ardona Van Winkle, Robyn Levy, Randy van Winkle, and Lorrie Rockney; and by her beloved grandchildren: Paul, Benjamin, and Kate Orellana and Sophia and Payton McCall.

SIMI VALLEY - MOTORCYCLIST IS KILLED IN CRASH WITH SUV

A Simi Valley man was killed Friday when his motorcycle collided with a sports utility vehicle, authorities said. Russell Woodrow Coplin, 54, was pronounced dead at Simi Valley Hospital, according to the Simi Valley Police Department. 

Coplin was driving his motorcycle west on Mayfair Street about 7:30 a.m. when he hit an SUV making a left turn from eastbound Mayfair onto Winthrop Court, police said. The SUV driver, a 56-year-old Simi Valley woman, was not injured.

Authorities ID Motorist Fatally Shot By Deputy

SELIGMAN – A motorist shot dead January 8, 2004 when he tried to run down a Yavapai County sheriff’s deputy was identified Tuesday as Seligman resident Uve Herbert Reesh, 45.

The shooting took place while deputies were investigating the hit-and-run traffic death of William James Verner, 51, also of Seligman.

Reesh, a suspect in Verner’s death, was shot in the Bridge Canyon area when he tried to run down a deputy with his vehicle, ignoring commands to stop, authorities said.

The entire incident remains under investigation, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

HEAD-ON CRASH KILLS BURBANK MOTORCYCLIST

A 22-year-old Burbank man was killed Tuesday after his motorcycle went out of control and smashed into an oncoming car. Clifford P. Cook of 1438 N. Broadway, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident in the 6300 block of Forest Lawn Drive in the Griffith Park area.

Officers said Cook was apparently traveling too fast on a turn when his motorcycle went out of control and smashed into an oncoming auto. The accident occurred at 4:20 p.m.

Bonnie Jean was born on April 20, 1953 in Burbank, Los Angeles County, California. She was the daughter of Paul and Jean Butler of Burbank. Bonnie graduated from Burbank High School with the class of 1971. After high school Bonnie met and married Wayne A. Wendricks on October 31, 1973 in Los Angeles County, California. Later the marriage did not work out and Bonnie and Wayne divorced. 

Bonnie somewhere along the way moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin.  Bonnie passed away on January 17, 2003 in Denmark, Brown County, Wisconsin. She was just 49 years old. Bonnie is survived by her four children, family and a host of friends and fellow classmates who will miss her beautiful face and special smile.

Interment was in the All Saints Catholic Church Cemetery, Denmark, Brown County, Wisconsin.

Wayne Gordon McCreith, 52, died April 14, 2005, of natural causes at the Lake District Long-Term Care Facility in Lakeview.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Lakeview Ministries Church with the Reverends Mike and Donna Newcombe officiating. Inurnment will be at Lakeview I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Desert Rose Funeral Chapel, Lakeview, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McCreith was born January 13, 1953, in Saskatchewan, Canada, to Gordon and Delores McCreith. He was raised in Burbank, California, where he graduated from high school. When he was 17 years old, he had brain surgery for brain cancer.

He was trained to be a plumber and electrician and worked mostly in hardware stores, completing his career with Lumberman's in Lakeview. He married Sandra Robinson in 1978, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1988. He then married Deborah Sipp in Lakeview on June 20, 1998.

Mr. McCreith was an accomplished pianist and an active member of Lakeview Ministries Church, including involvement with the Worship Team. He had an extensive collection of key chains.

Among his survivors are his wife Deborah McCreith of Lakeview; daughter, Chantal McCreith of Ventura, California; brothers and sisters-in-law Gary and Joanne McCreith of Lakeview and Randy and Joanie McCreith of Newport; brother Brad McCreith of San Marcos, California; mother Delores McCreith of San Marcos; stepchildren John Forga and Travis Sipp of Lakeview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Catherine.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 2350 Oakmont Way, No. 200, Eugene, OR, 97401-6108, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Michael Crain, 53, of Milan, passed away on Nov. 5, 2005, in Gallup.

He was born on Aug. 20, 1952, to James E. Crain and Adeline C. Crain in Gallup. He graduated from Burbank High School in Burbank, California, in 1971.

Mr. Crain is survived by his mother Adeline C. Crain of Milan and his brother Bill Crain of Milan. He was preceded in death by his father James E. Crain; his grandparents E.J. and Anna Gerard and Albert and Mertyl Crain; his uncle Robert Gerard and his aunts Anna Marie Farley and Catherine Turk.

A Rosary was recited on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grants. A Funeral Mass was conducted on Thursday, Nov. 10, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Keller as celebrant. Burial followed at Grants Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Barry Taylor, Kenneth Bezy, Craig Morgan, Danny Rael, Joe Gallegos and Pat Page.

Compassion Mortuary of Grants was in charge of arrangements.

October 6, 1953 - November 28, 2004 

Linda was born on October 6th, 1953 and baptized at St. Robert Bellarmine church in Burbank, California by her loving parents Fred and Mary Baldino. She attended St. Francis Xavier, John Muir Junior High and Burbank High School. During her school years, Linda played softball, joined the drill team, played guitar and was always a 'Straight-A' student. 

At age 18, Linda married Terry Kehoe, a Vietnam veteran and moved to Minnesota. When Linda and Terry parted ways, she returned to California and started a career in the insurance business where she met Ronald McKendry. Ron and Linda were married July 4th, 1981 in Lake Tahoe and lived in Newport Beach. 

Linda became a certified manicurist and opened her own salon named 'Just Because.' Linda gave birth to Ronni in 1982 and Kelli followed two years later. She was a very proud and loving mother and would do anything for her daughters. In addition to Ronni and Kelli, Linda is survived by her brother Frank Baldino. 

Linda will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to help her friends. Her smile and laugh were contagious and she is deeply missed.

 Body of Burbank man found at cliff bottom

The body of 21-year-old Burbank resident Kelly T. Wyatt was discovered Monday afternoon at the bottom of a 600 foot cliff off Angeles Crest Highway near Wrightwood, the California Highway Patrol reported today.

A county coroner's deputy estimated Wyatt had been dead since about 9 p.m. Sunday. The CHP said Wyatt's pickup truck had left the icy roadway and plunged down the cliff, throwing him from the vehicle.

Wyatt's body was discovered at 2 p.m. by a California Division of Highways employee who was grading the highway in the area.

The CHP said Wyatt of East Groton Drive, either died when thrown from the truck, or exposure.

Kelly Tungfeth Wyatt, 21, died Monday, December 3, 1973, in Azusa. He was born in Fort Hood, Texas, and had lived in Burbank for 19 years.

Mr. Wyatt was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Burbank. He was a graduate of Burbank High School and a former member of the Young Republicans Club of Burbank.

He is survived by his parents, Spencer L. and G. Diana Wyatt; twin brother, Kerry Tungfeth of Burbank; two sisters, Kathleen Wyatt of Glendale and Karyn Wyatt of Burbank; a step-brother, Michael Suggs of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and his grandfather ,Roscoe Wyatt of Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Burbank. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, Fillbach-Bailey directors.
