Charles R. "Red" Bruce, BHS 1939

A celebration of the life of Charles R. "Red" Bruce will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McCann's Paint and Body Shop in Central Point, Oregon.

Mr. Bruce, 80, of Cave Junction, formerly of Central Point, died Tuesday (July 11, 2000) in Cave Junction.

He was born April 28, 1920, in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from Burbank High School in Burbank, California in 1939. Mr. Bruce was a minig caretaker. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Bruce enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include two brothers, Frank G., Medford, and Norman R., Central Point; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne; a brother, John A.; and a sister, Elizabeth A. Smith. Arrangements by the Illnois Valley Chapel, Cave Junction.
