ALLEN H. LARSON 1936-2008 Allen "Red" Larson was born on April 26, 1936 in Los Angeles, California. He passed away on March 8, 2008. He was a life-long resident of Burbank. Red attended Burbank High School and worked at Technicolor as an Expeditor for 46 years. Red was very active in Burbank softball, and was a AAA fast-pitch pitcher for a number of teams over the years, most notably Karl's Shoes. Thousands of area residents would attend the games, cheering on the team and Red to numerous no-hitters. Red later took up golf and was a member of several golf clubs, including the Chic-A-Shay Golf Cl ub. He was also a member of the Burbank Elk's Club.

Red is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gail, his daughter Sandy Diamond of Herndon, VA, daughter Cindy Hernandez of Burbank, son Rich Larson of Los Angeles, daughter Chris Morrow of Seattle, WA, granddaughter Kelly Bush of Burbank and sister Carolyn Manskar of San Diego. He is also survived by many extended family members and wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 12:00 pm at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hill s, 6300 Forest Lawn Dr., Los Angeles, CA, in the North Chapel. Friends are invited to join the family at the Burbank Elk's Lodge, 2232 N. Hollywood Way in Burbank following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to GREAT (Golden Retriever Rescue Education And Training), PO Box 3169, Falls Church, VA 22043 or www.grreat.org/ donate/index.html a non-profit organization run by Red's daughter Sandy.
