ROBERT W. ROWLAND 1930 - 2009 Passed away peacefully at home, family at his side, on March 29, 2009.
Born in Glendale, California, Bob was a lifelong resident of the San Fernando Valley. He attended Burbank High School . He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Edith Rowland; siblings, Norma, Jimmy, Kenny, and Donny; niece, Sherry; nephew, Kenny; and grandson, Kevin.
His legacy includes daughters, Marie, Linda, and Bobbi-Jo; grandchildren, Ron, Mark, Drew, Angela, Lisa, Bobby, Derek, and Kelsea; great grandchildren, Ethan, Justin, Scotty, Amia, Danika, Flannery, Jesenia, Tanner, Bryce, and Kaden; several nieces, nephews, and their families. He leaves behind many, many friends and associates.
Bob was a plastering contractor for over 50 years during which time he developed lasting friendships. He valued his time in the Merchant Marines and Army, traveling to such places as Greenland, Panama, Korea, Japan a nd the Persian Gulf. Seeing potential beauty in structures, Bob enjoyed taking time to remodel, restore and rebuild to make a project what he envisioned. As a father, he was loved and much appreciated, always there when needed. He will be greatly missed.
