Pattie Haupert, 46, of Kailua died April 5, 1996 at home. Born in California, she was an infection control coordinator at Kona Community Hospital and a member of Hawaii Chapter of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. 

Friends may call 5 p.m. Friday at the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Clubhouse at Honokohau Harbor for a memorial service. Scattering of ashes at sea to follow. Loose flowers, leis welcome. Donations may be made to Kona Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 69, Kealakekua, HI 96750.

Survived by husband, Charles Edward Haupert of Kailua; two sons, Jaren Sturdy, Wayne (Keala Beyer) Sturdy, both of Kailua; stepson, Christopher Haupert of New York; parents Clarence and Dorothy Dumler of Oregon; brother, David (Angela) Dumler of California; sister, Judi (Tom) Brooks of California; parents-in-law, Bud and Alice Haupert of California; niece, three nephews, numerous cousins.
