Dr. Elvyn V. Brown, 37, of Beaver Clinic, Taken by Death

REDLANDS Dr. Elwyn V. Brown, associated with the Beaver Clinic, died Thursday night of a heart attack. A first attack was suffered three weeks ago and he was presumed to have been recovering well. He was 37. A resident of 910 LaFeliz Dr., Dr. Brown had been in Redlands eight years. He attended the University of Redlands four years. 

HOME IN BURBANK Native of Bellingham, Wash., he lived in several cities before the Brown family made their home in Burbank. He graduated from Burbank High School in 1938 and came to the University of Redlands, where he received his bachelor degree in 1942. He attended the University of Southern California and 

U. S. Navy in 1946, serving two years in the medical corps, part of the time in China. He returned to civilian life in1948 when he became associated with the Beaver Clinic. He was a general practioner specializing in anesthetics. 

Surviving are his widow, Dorothy Lee Brown, and two children, Richard Lee, 10, and Margaret. Ann, 7. Mrs. Brown is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. B. Lee, Redlands, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Brown of Bellingham. Wash. 

SERVICES SET - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. J. Wendell Beck, pastor, officiating, F. Arthur Cortner Chapel is in charge. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. The family has asked those who wish to contribute to the building fund, in care of E. L. Jury, at Redlands Community Hospital.
