Born June 22, 1947 and passed away on March 21, 2026 in Rayville, LA as a result of sepsis from infections in an artery and recent stent procedure.
BHS classmates remember Roger as being a great fullback for the Bulldogs’ Varsity football team. After graduation, he returned to Louisiana for college and more football.
He was a retired US Army Veteran and had earned a master’s degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe. He was also retired from the Richland Parish School Board where he served as a teacher, coach, and Supervisor of Maintenance and Transportation.
Roger is survived by his wife, Charline, four children, ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
