Robert "Bob" Francis Howick of North Hollywood, California at the age of 78 went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2021.
Robert is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Julia, daughter Tina and husband Chris, his daughter Dana, his son Johnathon and wife Terry, and two grandchildren Skyler and Tyler.
Bob was born in the small town of Alpena Michigan in 1943 to the late Jack and Frances Howick. He was born the second oldest of five brothers and sisters. At a young age the family relocated to Burbank, California.
After graduating from Burbank High School, he began his career working at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). At age of 23 he placed his career and plans on hold and enlisted in the US Navy to serve his country and fight in the Vietnam War. During his time in the US Navy, he married his soul mate Julia. After being honorably discharged from the US Navy, Bob and Julia moved back to Burbank, California and started their family. He resumed working at JPL as an Electrician and continued working there for over 45 years.
Bob loved spending time with his family, travelling, and working on projects around the house. He loved talking to people, joking, making people smile. He was light-hearted and generous, never hesitating to drop what he was doing to help family, friends, or neighbors. He will be truly missed.
Funeral services will be held at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on January 11th, 2022.
