Received an email this morning from Roger's brother as follows:
I wanted to make an addition to the 1971 BHS in Memoriam blog for my late brother, Roger Alan Black who passed away on December 18, 2018 in Los Angeles, CA.
Following his graduation from BHS, Roger pursued his passion with photography by moving to Hawaii and starting a Luau photography business. After a few years of that he moved to Phuket, Thailand to pursue additional photography business for the tourist trade there. To supplement his income, Roger became an English teacher for Thai children. He enjoyed this work and did it for almost 25 years. Roger’s career was interrupted by a severe case of gout and he could no longer stand for hours as required by the Thai schools. He returned to Los Angeles where he was treated and lived in a small apartment in South Central LA.
Roger passed away on December 18, 2018 from lung cancer.
