Faith P. Sands was born July 16, 1908 in Burbank, California and passed away peacefully on April 14, 2002. At the age of 16 she sang on KHJ radio in L.A. and later worked in Wardrobe at Warner Brothers Studio. She married F.M. Jack Sands in 1929 and began her career as a homemaker. She was famous for her baking, candy making, and generosity of spirit. She always maintained her sense of humor and wit. She was a charter member of the Oildale OES, and a member of the Grange.

Faith was preceded in death by her six siblings and husband of 56 years. She is survived by her daughters, Frances Denison and husband, Jack, and Hope Donovan, both of Bakersfield; and son, Jack and wife, Pam of Cypress, Texas. Grandchildren, Kirk and Tod Denison (Beryl) of Bakersfield, Kerry Denison (Karen) of Arvada, Colorado, Jennifer Sands of Austin, Texas and Lauren Sands of Cypress, Texas; and 7 great- grandchildren; also numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, Hospice, or SPCA. Special thanks to Serrill and Marguerite Brooks who have always been there for our family. At her request, there will be no services.
