Bob Lauble passed away quietly in his sleep Tuesday, June 9, 2009, with his family at his side.
Born in February 1926 in Burbank, California, he graduated from Burbank High School and joined the United States Navy. He served as an electrician on a destroyer in World War II. He attended UCLA and earned his teaching credential. While at UCLA, he met Darla Klopp and they were married in 1953.

For the next 25 years, he raised three sons. Being very much involved with his children, he coached youth football, basket ball and baseball, and served as Cub Master for Burbank's Pack 22. He was awarded a Life Membership for Special Youth Service.

Bob retired in 1989, after teaching health for 30 of his 35 years at Millikan Junior High School in Sherman Oaks, California. When he retired, he moved to Lake Naciniento (near Paso Robles), where he enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his sister, Barbara Bax and family; sons Brett (Jan) of Crescent City, California, Todd (Leslie) of Mt. Hood, Oregon, and Kent of of Paso Robles; grandchildren Jason, Jennifer, Steve and Hagen; great-grandchild, Jackson.
